I'm featured in the Epoch Times!
collectZing.com, my employer, was featured in an article recently, and I was interviewed for it. It’s kind of cool, except they misinterpreted one of my answers to their questions, and somehow I’m now a puppet restorer. What I had written (it was an emailed interview) was that the site offers me a way of storing information about my puppets, like if I’ve made repairs, or if they need repairs. I was trying to explain that you don’t just upload photos, but can also store relevant information about your collectibles. It’s Flickr but with more data storage for all that extra info, like insurance and restoration, who you bought your stuff from, etc. It was important for me to say all of that, because I’m the one who spent the last five or six months doing the research and writing up the database for collectors to use.
Still, it’s nice to be in an article, especially when it does two things at once: promotes my employer’s company, and therefore encourages me that it will be successful (and I’ll get to keep my job); and promotes my puppets, even if the article slightly got my meaning wrong. More puppetry is what I say! Anyway, I’m just happy that they got the rest of it right.
