I had planned on spending some time writing a post about glove puppets today, but I’m putting it on hold (again? Yes, I know) as I am busy sorting out some other stuff.

Today I had a very interesting chat with someone about some potential puppetry work. After thinking about it all, I’m very keen, but it made me think about my plans for City Head and next year’s comedy festival. I’m still very keen to do that too, so when I got home (after a long day of public transport… don’t ask) I sat down and started organising a list of things I need to do for the festival. Plus I got an email announcing applications for Comedy @ Trades are open already, and will be due at the start of Nov. I’m hoping to get a spot at Trades, since I got one this year, but it means getting my ass in gear - NOW!

So yeah, I may have some more stuff to post about that tomorrow, if I manage to get hold of my playwright and one of my puppeteers.

So the rest of tonight will be spent doing some admin work for the show, making a few phone calls… and then if I have the energy, I’m going to start making one of my icons. I’m really excited about them, as I’ve spent most of my spare time this week designing them (I’m halfway through the designs), and I hope to get at least one of them built over the weekend… Although it’s now slightly more tricky. The aforementioned public transport issue is that my mum’s car (which I use as my own on occasion, since I lost my car to an accident two years ago) was bashed into on Tues. night - no one was in the car at the time, but it has been sent to get repairs. Hence the PT; and not being able to drive to Spotlight is not only a pain, but inconvenient right now, as I really need to buy materials. What does this have to do with new navigational icons for the blog? Well, you’ll just have to pop back and see.
