7 Nov 2008 Giraffe shadow puppet on sale now!
Well, apparently my problems with my video editing wasn’t so much with the program I was using, but that Vista is, as expected, crap. I’ve had to fiddle with all sorts of things; it has to do with ‘codecs’, which help the computer understand and work with video files. Anyway, the ones in Vista managed to f* up the speed of the video files once edited; then when collating it all in Windows Movie Maker, the files would appear purple in colour… I finally figured out what was wrong and fixed it, but when it came to actually saving the final version, WMM would add in green bars and squash the video up. Turns out that the thing I needed to do to fix the speed was the thing I needed to undo in order to save the video. Now that I know what I’m doing, the other patterns and videos should be coming faster.
… Anywho, a new shadow puppet pattern! Find it for sale here, and the video below.
On a side note, I’ve been recording the fantastic music from a computer game, Aquaria, to listen to as background music on my computer (you can’t run the current version of the game in the background, although there is a jukebox ‘mod’ where you can select songs to listen to… but then you can’t do anything else with your computer in the meantime). I have a few fav computer games, but normally I don’t like the music and never play the game with it on. I can’t imagine playing Aquaria with it off… it’s really gorgeous. I’m listening to ’sunkencity’ right now. …
