Unfortunately I’ve been sidetracked by building this website for my new friend… Most of it was done over the weekend, with me having to create a new design/layout/functionality for a particular page. It’s much more complicated than what I’d been doing for her previously, especially when you consider the fact that I’m trying to add a functionality for ease of use - a Flickr plugin. Although one exists, it’s not doing what I need it to do, so now apparently I have to teach myself something about Flickr API, which is rather slow going. Although I’ve done enough coding now to pick it up with some minimal reading over at Flickr, hacking the plugin doesn’t seem to work and I really don’t want to code it from scratch - mainly because if I can’t figure out what’s going wrong with the plugin, I won’t do much good with something from scratch.

Nevertheless, I will continue on; I’m taking it as a personal challenge, and it occurs to me that if I actually take this coding stuff seriously, I might be able to find job hunting a little easier. 

There will be some proper posting of stuff tomorrow, as I’ll be announcing my new puppetry classes for the year… Oh, I got some goodies in the mail on Friday - one of them I’m saving to announce later once I’ve fixed up a few things on my site (oh no, more coding!), but the other was some very nice square business cards! They’ll also double as hang tags on any physical product I sell, which is a great new addition to my little business, and makes things look better when I send them to customers. I’ll post a pic later on when I announce the other thing… 

(Oh yeah, and I posted this ahead of time, but had a speedy trigger finger on pressing Save… so I accidentally made three posts over the weekend. I’ve fixed it so only one link appears now)
