29 Jan 2009 Seahorse shadow puppet for sale!
Continuing the theme of transparent puppets (and the underwater theme), I’ve got a new shadow puppet for sale. As mentioned yesterday, I did try a bit of practice reversing the puppet on the video; it looks great reversing it from side to side just holding it up in the air, but when it came to using the screen, the reversing didn’t work. But then I discovered that I could also reverse from top to bottom (see video below) and that worked ok enough to get the idea across. It would have been better if I had a larger screen and light. … Also, don’t adjust your screen or wonder what’s wrong with the video; the new (as of last year) airconditioning in my house blows from vents in the ceiling and was evidently playing with my bisilk screen. Also, I think I need to play with my camera settings: sometimes the lighting comes out discoloured, sometimes it comes out looking like the real thing.
And now I’m going to go collapse. 43 degrees C today! Apparently we’re having like the hottest week in a century or something…
