24 Apr 2009 Some fixed; some not
Well last night someone nice from b2evolution helped me solve my redirect problem with the home page. Now when you go to puppetsinmelbourne.com.au (with or without the www.) it should redirect you straight to the /shop. I’m still going - slowly - through my blog posts and updating links. I can’t quite tell, but I also think on IE you might not see some of the logos or icons.
This morning I took part in Stiqman’s BlogTV discussion, which was really good. I learned how to use fishing line to attach to puppet arms for when you want natural movement but don’t have a hand spare to operate it (much like how they do Big Bird’s arm), about puppet racks out of PVC piping, and we discussed awls and doe suede. Very interesting!
Well, I was supposed to head out to Spotlight now and pick up some things, thinking I’d also drop off my sister at work. We stepped outside to discover the car was gone (I share it with my mum)… so yeah, I’ve pissed off my sister now. Anywho, the whole point of the trip for me was to pick up supplies for an order, and for my moppet pattern - I’m trying out a new eye method - and was going to post some pics of it this evening. Since there’s no car til later tonight, you’ll have to wait til tomorrow. I’ll be away from my computer most of the weekend to get this order done.
And here’s where some is not working also… My site is increasingly frustrating me. Everything works from my end, but then of course, a customer finds a way to break that idea. Because first they have trouble just buying, and then of course, they have trouble paying. I’m going to have to do more work on the shop it seems, because this really isn’t good enough. Even if I have to pay a web designer to do it for me.
