Puppets in Melbourne

Important info for my Twitter followers - please read!

NPF ‘09 Gallery date NPF ‘09 Itinerary

Some of you may know, some of you may not - I’m heading to Atlanta! That’s right, little Aussie me is going to the National Puppetry Festival in Atlanta, Georgia; and I’ll be leaving this weekend on the 11th July.

What does this mean for my followers? Well, whilst I will have internet access and my computer with me at all times during my two week trip, I have a pretty busy schedule. Add to this the fact that I’m not 100% sure my phone will work overseas, and that means I probably won’t be doing much Twittering. If it turns out my phone does work, I’ll be keeping my Tweets to a minimum mainly for cost-savings (also, I’ll be able to send Twitters, but not receive, making Twitter conversations via phone pointless).

Don’t despair though: I will be liveblogging the whole thing every day. If you’re new, this means getting workshop notes, show reviews and other fun stuff to read (and pics to look at). My site is set up to ping Twitter and update my followers of every new blog post too, so you won’t miss out. If you’d prefer to be notified via RSS, use this link to subscribe (you’ll only get subscriptions for the liveblog, not the rest of my site). The link to the actual diary page is www.puppetsinmelbourne.com.au/npfdiary.php.

I will be attempting to catch up on Twitter reading at the end of each day - but you’ll forgive me if I miss a reply or two between my workshops, shows, sightseeing and other activities (like sleeping ). … Anyway, the point is, if I go quiet all of the sudden or don’t reply to something you Tweet, you’ll know why.
