Catching up
Well, because of last week’s chaos, I’m spending a lot of time trying to catch up on things. Mainly I’m trying to push through the last dregs of the UNIMA Australia web design, which is making good progress - enough that I can probably (actually/finally) release the sandbox for testing to the committee members. There are still some problematic functions that need to be worked on, but mainly it’s stuff for me (ie. a notification if a member submits an event to the online calendar, otherwise I just have to login everyday to check if anyone has), or things that are waiting on programmer support. The rest is aesthetic, and so minute as to be fixed whilst everyone is testing without being noticeable. I also still have a long list of things to be done for the transfer from old to new, so it doesn’t look like I’ll be completely done for a while.
I do hope to get back to proper blogging later this week; I have a few drafts of posts, but unfortunately each one is of the ‘in depth’ kind, and I’m getting pretty distracted trying to plough through the UNIMA design. I’m about four months behind schedule on it, so you can imagine why I’m trying to spend as much time as possible getting it done.
… And also, a big thank you to those of you who sent me kind words after yesterday’s post: there is some good news in that at least the WA police are making progress, with a short update today of some positive movement. Yay!
Lastly, a short note: if you haven’t seen my tweets, please check out Puppets and Stuff for news on Michelle from Puppet Planet: she recently lost everything, and has become homeless, as well as divorced. She wanted to let all her customers know, so please if you are in contact with anyone, pass the message on. She’s attempting to keep the puppetry business alive, and I’ve happily sent off a care package to her; mainly scraps or things I’m not going to use, but a few special treats too. Here’s hoping they help get her back on her feet!
