18 Feb 2010 Taking a well-earned break
As the title suggests, I’ve been taking the opportunity to chill out a bit. The problem with working for yourself is that you have no set hours, and an easy tendency to not have weekends because of it. I spent the last few weeks pummelling out the new UNIMA site, got myself organised for the most part on the School of Puppetry stuff, but have been taking the last couple of days to ‘work slow’. Mainly that means watching some TV, reading a bit, and catching up on some emails.
I’ve also been having a bit of an epiphany about some projects that I might be working on. I’ve been putting off cleaning up my building desk for a bit, and I know I’ve got a gazillion other things half started, but I promised myself that for my birthday (which is on Friday) I would take some time to do so building on shadow puppets. And I’ve had some ideas for a couple of future products, which, as is so typical of me, I feel I have to start and finish whilst the epiphany is with me.
I hope that I’ll have something to show for it next week, but as usual don’t hold your breath: as you can see by now, I have a tendency to run off on tangents.
