@75cutiegirl,

I'm sure some people would prefer to use a Halloween decoration, but that wasn't the point. As explained in the tutorial, the instructions were based on my first marionette, which used a teddy bear simply because that's what was on hand. I wanted to learn the basics of marionette stringing, rather than focus on building the puppet itself. Since that was what I made, that's what I used for the tutorial.

Having said that, it's not like you can't interchange a skeleton (toy or decoration or even a carved wooden skeleton) instead of a teddy bear. The instructions would be exactly the same, just attach the strings to whatever else you decide to use.

Hi scafool,

Thanks for the comments - yes, I'm the one who made the tutorial and added it to Instructables. I've been meaning to update both of them with some more photos but never quite get around to it <img src="http://www.puppetsinmelbourne.com.au/rsc/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt="&#58;&#41;" class="middle" />

Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you like it.

Cheers,

Naomi
