Blacklight is something that I had wanted to try for a while, and I conceived the idea that perhaps it was possible to make a shadow puppet that could also be used under blacklight conditions. This is what I came up with, and it also served as a basis for the Picnic Point High School commission.

• White cardboard, painted with neon orange acrylic

• Using a UV light, it transforms from an orange and white creature into an eerie black and blue moth

• Laminated for durability

• Two rods are detachable

• String joints

• Size of actual puppet: 27cm (10.6 inches) from wing tip to wing tip, 17cm (6.7 inches) from top to bottom
