Most of the time when I made my first set of puppets, it was a particular material that inspired me. This turtle was inspired by a pack of translucent papers I discovered at Officeworks. I had seen this circular-patterned paper along with the ones I used for the jellyfish shadow puppet and immediately knew what I would do with them. This turtle was also the basis for the design used for the Picnic Point High School commission.
