This Goddess is the beginning of a new series of shadow puppets, all with an Asian theme. They’re inspired by the Chinese style of shadow puppets; each part is handpainted on both sides with water colours, giving detail, depth and colour to the puppet. She has five sections - two arm pieces, a body/head, and two skirt pieces - allowing for fluid movement and godlike gliding across the screen. 

The Goddess is a cardboard creature, laminated for protection, with string joints to complement the colourings and translucency of the paints. She comes with two detachable, reversible rods and a set of instructions on care, use and repair. This puppet also introduces a new reversible feature, which allows you to reverse the puppet, whilst performing with it - no need to remove the rods and replace them in order to make the Goddess face the opposite direction!
